INTERSESTING TREND: SEC SPOILING ACC'S LEADERS REGULAR SEASON FINAL MATCHUP

South Carolina took down favored Clemson today, clearly tainting the momentum for Clemson and CJ Spiller's Heisman case. Clemson will still play for the ACC championship game against GA Tech, but some of the sparkle for the upcoming matchup in Tampa has been lost as both teams head in coming off a loss.

Georgia took care of business in Atlanta tonight by beating a favored GA Tech at their own game. The commitment to the running game led the way for Georgia tonight as it leaves a trail of carnage on their way back to Athens tonight.

DAWGS RUN IT AGAINST JACKETS, WIN 30 TO 24

Georgia came into tonight's game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets with an astounding game plan run it. Caleb King,Washaun Ealey and a solidified offense line that came in hungry took it to GA Tech from the opening kick. Tallying up 100 yards rushing midway through the second quarter. It was obvious they wanted to beat Tech at their own game.

Georgia's scheme was what many Dawg Fans have been wanting for years, and those fans were rewarded tonight as Georgia rolled up 338 yards rushing, 21 First Downs, and 2 key touchdowns on the ground.

Caleb King - 18 Attempts (166 Yards) 2 TDs
Washaun Ealey - 20 Attempts (183 Yards)

Physical blocking led the way to physical running. Mike Bobo and the Georgia Offense brought their "A" Game tonight.

GA's Defense stood tall tonight as well keeping GA Tech out of the end zone when it mattered the most.

Week 11: Some Georgia Thoughts for the Road

RAMBO! RAMBO! RAMBO!

Bacarri Rambo, a Freshman from Donalsonville GA, stepped up last night big time for the GA defense. For someone that has been calling for more RAMBO for the majority of the season, it was great seeing him save the game last night. He scacrificed the body and made his case for player of the game. He showed a GA defense which has been having issues finding its way all year, how to make it happen. I'm reminded of GA legends like Thomas Davis and Greg Blue and their hard hitting nature. Their footsteps used to strike fear in slot receivers. Bacarri get well, have a speedy recovery! We will eagerly await your return. I've got a good feeling you're going to be taking heads off for years to come.

While on the D, Brandon Boykin needs to be on the field at all times. Sorry Brandon no more breaks for you. You're too good. Keep making it happen.

Caleb King and Washaun Ealey are the 2-Headed monster that Georgia has been looking for all year. Feed the beast. These guys teamed up for 28 carries, 164 yards, and 3 touchdowns. What more do you need to hear? I could watch Washaun's touchdown run over and over. Dawg Nation has been missing that king of hustle since Knowshon went pro.

Hats off to AJ Green, Joe Cox, and Israel Troupe. The guys laid it out there and made a difference. Hopefully AJ can shake the injury bug. Life's just better with AJ in it.

Tip your cap to GA, they hung in there last night, stayed with it and laid it on the line. The Auburn game is a huge rivalry. Always has been, always will be and GA came up big.

The talk is now, if GA can keep it up, that the DAWGS might slide into a New Year's Day bowl. Imagine beating Kentucky and somehow, someway taking down the Ramblin Wreck, which at this point in the year looks like a well-oiled machine. That would indeed end the regular season on high note. Georgia has to stay focused and keep eyes locked in on the task at hand.

Week 11 - November 14th, 2009

Wow. What a performance by Navy. You really have to tip your cap to that squad, and the coach. The midshipman pulled it out. Notre Dame is hurting. Charlie could be on the way out. Tough decisions ahead for Notre Dame, because there are unconfirmed reports of his buyout being close to $10 million. Whew!

This weekend's games are very intriguing.

First of all let's start on the left coast. The Stanford vs Southern Cal game is my best one of the day. Souther Cal's top receiver and punt returner, Damian Williams, is out (courtesy of The Associated Press). I remember vividly watching Stanford beat them in the Coliseum 2 years ago, and how excited I was. That was some performance. It's hard not to root for Harbaugh - he's hungry and it shows. I think the NFL is taking note what he's up to.

Georgia vs Auburn. Its a 7:00 PM kick, and it should be a cold one in Athens. Look for Washaun to have coming out party. Too bad it took Georgia all year to figure out they had another sensational tailback in the stable. Remember it took GA a year and a half to let Knowshon run wild. GA has to get it together and assess talent faster. Games are a stake and currently they are being shown up in almost every bigtime implication game they face. Look for changes in the offseason.

Lot's of good noon games. I like Penn State to roll up Indiana. Clemson will keep it up and take out NC State as they head to Charlotte. Think Clemson is wondering if they should have pulled the Boweden trigger a little sooner.

Georgia Tech should be fine against Duke. While Duke is having a great year. I just don't see them stopping Tech's ground game.

Kentucky vs Vandy looks to be a close one. What's the over/under on the number of punts? I like Vandy to cover. Let's stay in the SEC for a bit. Dan Mullen and his Miss State Bulldogs are having fun this year, but with BAMA parked outside the stadium all smiles disappear real quick. Look for BAMA to handle their business. Tenn had a tough week. Its hard to rule out the knucklehead factor when you recruit knuckleheads. I like Houston Nutt, and Ole Miss, in this one, especially at home.

Even Coach Spurrier calling plays today (why he does not do this all the time, I have no idea) will not be enough to stop Florida.

Boise State and TCU will both win. Look for Iowa to loose another one. Stanzi not playing equals a road loss for me. Damn shame. I was having a lot of fun keeping my eye on Iowa victories. And I want to make a point here, by my count that 2 QB's out for the year on stupid, I repeat STUPID, plays. Sam Bradford second should injury occurred on a play where he was out on a island, and Stanzi got knocked out for the year trying to escape, but he's was out on island too. Coaches have to figure if out - PROTECT THE QUARTERBACK. If they play does not do that - delete it. Pretty simple to me.

I'm sure everyone saw Javid Best go down last week. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Mr. Best get well soon.

Don't be surprised when Stanford wins again.
